I am the founder and General Manager of KUMARA Electrical & Industrial Supplies, a trusted Malaysian-based supplier and eCommerce platform providing a broad range of heavy equipment parts, electrical and industrial tools, HVAC tools, security products, and auto & truck parts. At KUMARA, we focus on delivering reliable, cost-effective solutions to businesses across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
Before founding KUMARA, I built a strong foundation in the power systems and heavy equipment sector through my work with globally recognized brands. I served at Sime Darby Industrial, where I was part of the Caterpillar Power Systems division, gaining hands-on experience with diesel and gas-powered systems, supporting clients across energy, marine, and infrastructure sectors. My exposure to world-class operational standards and technical systems at Sime Darby played a key role in shaping my strategic and service-oriented mindset.
I also served with Cummins Engine Company in both Malaysia and Singapore, where I was involved in the Service & Warranty of high-performance diesel engines and power generation solutions. This regional role further enhanced my technical knowledge and customer engagement skills, supporting clients across automotive, marine, and industrial segments.

Kumaralingam Ramalingam is a seasoned electrical and industrial systems specialist with over three decades of hands-on experience in power generation, heavy equipment systems, and industrial supply chain solutions across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
His professional journey began in the 1990s as the founder and leader of Gandhi Electric Malaysia, a company recognized for its high-impact contributions to the development of Malaysia’s electrical infrastructure. Under his direction, the firm executed critical electrical cabling and instrumentation erection works for Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), including:
Installation of 53 TNB substations for the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
Electrical and data infrastructure for the KLCC Data Center
Satellite broadcasting systems for MEASAT, supporting five satellites under TIW Satellites USA
Involvement in Malaysia’s high-voltage network through 500kV transmission tower projects with TNB
Following this, Kumaralingam held senior technical and leadership roles with global giants such as Sime Darby Industrial – Caterpillar Power Systems, and Cummins Engine Company Malaysia and Singapore, where he further deepened his expertise in power systems, diesel technologies, and industrial-grade solutions.
